McCrindle Baynes Villages Census

Giving confidence to a sector under compliance review.

We were tasked with creating and executing ongoing industry-wide research that the sector and individual operators can use for advocacy and media commentary.

The Work

McCrindle Baynes has executed four major independent village community research programs (2008, 2011, 2013 and 2014) with total budgets exceeding $800,000. All research projects have been in partnerships with village operators. Over 15,000 residents have been surveyed across more than 400 private and not for profit villages, in partnership with more than 50 operators and industry peak bodies such as the RVA, Retirement Living Council and ACSA.

Results & Deliverables

The Australian successes led to McCrindle Baynes being commissioned by the Retirement Villages Association of New Zealand to survey the entire NZ village sector and establish an industry NPS score. A large number of operators continue to use us for their own internal and marketing research.

“McCrindle has a deep understanding of the processes required to achieve high engagement by residents and effective partnering with village managers.”
