Demographic analysis for a growing school in Melbourne

With two campuses in Melbourne’s growing north west, Overnewton Anglican Community College engaged McCrindle to provide demographic research into the college’s changing community profile and to support long-term marketing and enrolment strategies. By mapping and analysing the enrolment pattern of the college, McCrindle was able to identify distinct enrolling areas for the campuses and different year groups. The demographic characteristics of Overnewton’s catchment area were also investigated, assessing the local community based on its population dynamics, age profile, household composition, income level, and cultural affiliation. This has identified opportunities for growth and added to the college’s understanding of their community. A competitor analysis was also conducted to identify threats to enrolment growth strategies.
