Frequently asked questions

  • What does the Cultural Health Index measure?
Simply put it's a way to measure your organisations culture by surveying your team on 7 key areas. Leadership, Meaningful work, Team connections & communication, Vision, Wellbeing, Values & Shared behavior, Training & Development.
  • How big should my team be to start this study?
We can measure the cultural health of any team size, but we find it works best for teams greater than 50 people.
  • What is the methodology of the study?
The culture index is comprised of seven components with four statements in each. Each statement and section is given equal weighting for the overall result. The component score is the average of the statement scores for that section, and the culture score is the average of the statements combined. When ranked on each of the seven areas, organisations can receive a score anywhere between -100 and +100.

  • What is the expected timeframe for receiving the cultural health assessment report?
From sign off of the project to getting the first round of data can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks depending on your organisation size.
  • How long should I run the assessment for?
We recommend committing to a few years of running the assessment. This simply increases the return on investment because you'll be able to see change over time and how your implementations are impacting culture.
  • What are the benefits of running a cultural health study?
Running the cultural health assessment is a meaningful way to engage employees across your organisation, giving them a voice, a sense of ownership over the cultural health and an opportunity to shape the future of the organisation. This in turn can build trust, empower employees and equip leaders with data driven strategies to prioritise employee wellbeing and organisational health.
